Live Viewing Japan will be screening top selling J-rock band GLAY‘s concert film GLAY: STADIUM LIVE 2012 at THE SUITE ROOM in OSAKA NAGAI STADIUM exclusively in three U.S. cities. The premiere screening will take place in New York City on October 12th at 8:30pm at the Big Cinemas Manhattan Theatre on 239 East 59th Street. The first 20 attendees to this event will receive a limited edition notebook previously only given to concert goers who had purchased one of GLAY’s CDs at one of the band’s shows.
The original live performance took place in Japan on July 28th and July 29th in Osaka, Japan, where the band played before a total of 100,000 spectators and was themed as a “Super Welcome Party” on the 28th and a “Big Surprise Party” on the 29th. The film compiles the best moments of both days into a three hour concert film for the enjoyment and viewing pleasure of the band’s fans worldwide.
The other U.S. screenings will take place on November 16th at 8pm at New People in San Francisco and November 17th at 6pm at The Downtown Independent in Los Angeles. Tickets for all screenings will be $20. Other international screenings include Paris, France and Bangkok, Thailand.

GLAY is an enthralling band that has sold more than 40 million albums in Japan since their debut in 1994. Before the end of 2012, they will see the release of their 46th and 47th singles which will then be followed by the release of two new albums, “JUSTICE” and “GUILTY”, in early 2013. The band is also looking forward to an arena tour starting in February 2013, an Asian tour in spring of 2013, followed by an open air concert in their hometown of Hakodate, Hokkaido. In 2014, they will be celebrating their 20th anniversary with a Dome concert in Tohoku. One of the things GLAY is known for is their large scale concerts attracting hundreds of thousands, called “GLAY EXPO”. Their first performance of this type was 1999′s “GLAY EXPO ’99 SURVIVAL” in Chiba that succeeded in attracting 200,000 people.
