Japanese game developer CAVE (Deathsmiles, Do-Don-Pachi) announced earlier today that their shooter Espgaluda II will be released in English on the iPad2 come October 13th.
To help celebrate the release, CAVE will have a special 4-day commemorative pricing from October 13th through the 16th. The title will be $10.99 (NA/CAN), £7.49 (UK) and€8.99 (EU) during this special promotion.
As described per the game’s official press release:
“ESPGALUDA II is the sequel to CAVE’s well-known arcade shooter “ESPGALUDA”, released only in Japan. Set in a fantasy world, ESPGALUDA and its distinct cast of characters have been thrilling Japanese game center patrons since 2005.
ESPGALUDA II for iPhone met with critical acclaim and fan feedback in the west, and was placed in the “App Store Hall of Fame” by Apple. The simple appeal of the “Awakening System” which lets players destroy bullet patterns with their fingers earned the app a permanent place in fan’s hearts.
CAVE’s first release for iPhone® and iPod touch® is now available in high-definition with new BGM for your iPad2.”
In addition, it was announced that gamers who already own the smartphone version will be receiving a remixed soundtrack by composers Kenichiro Fukui and KAY. The company also announced that they will be releasing two split and slightly cheaper versions of the original iOS game: Espgaluda II Arcade Version and Espgaluda II Smarphone Version on both the iPad and iOS-compatible devices.
