Yesterday, Japanese video game developer Atlus’ parent company Index released their financial report for the year spanning September 1, 2010 through August 31,2011. Although the company was largely in the red, with a 34% drop in sales from the previous year, the company still saw sales of 18,452 million yen with operating profits of 2,695 million yen thanks in large part to a strong performance by Catherine and the Persona brand.
Catherine sold 500,000 total units in Japan (260,000) and internationally (230,000), while the company also saw strong sales from their handheld Shin Megami titles Persona 2 and Devil Summoner 2 in Japan.
