Although it hasn’t been exactly a secret that NIS America was intending on releasing the third and final entry in the RPG/bishoujo hybrid in the form Ar Tonelico series, its official release date was not yet known. Currently slated for America and Europe in Spring 2011, NIS announced at their official press event on July 15 that the game will be called Ar Tonelico 3: Qoga of Ar Ciel.
Taking full advantage of the PlayStation 3’s strengths, the title will be using a new graphics and battle interface that promises to be a unique gaming experience for both veterans and newcomers alike. For those unfamiliar with the series, Ar Tonelico was developed and published by Banpresto Co., Ltd in Japan and looks to “mark a new approach to the RPG genre by seamlessly combining simulation with role-playing.”
Not only will gamers will have the ability to customize weapons and items, but they can now design their character’s personalities, skills, and appearance through virtual interaction. We will have more news for you as the release date approaches.
