Neurowear, the makers of Necomimi, are at it again.

Necomimi, if you haven’t heard, are brain-controlled cat ears.

If you were at Anime Expo 2012, or any other recent anime convention, you probably saw a pair at one point. If not, check out the video below for a look at this kawaii contraption in action.

So, let’s say you have a pair of those. All you’d need to really complete the outfit is a tail.

Well, good news! Neurowear will soon have you covered with Shippo, a brain-controlled tail.

From the video, it looks like the tail comes with an app for your phone that reads your “mood,” tags your location, and lets you share this info on Facebook and other social networking sites. The app will also help you find relaxing places, and apparently post locations where your mood changes (or where you get barked at by dogs, so you know to avoid that not-so cat-friendly neighborhood).

The video also talks about creating a neuro tagging map, a map of the places you’ve been based on how you felt there…kind of science fiction sounding, when you think about it.

Shippo debuted at this year’s Tokyo Game Show as a prototype with no word when a final product will be released.
