Next up in the lineup of Guest of Honor interviews from Anime Expo 2011 is Maon Kurosaki. Maon has contributed to High School of the Dead and To Aru Majutsu no Index II with several ending songs.
According to my intell, it states that you are relatively new to performing music for anime series?
That is correct, it has only been about one year since my debut.
You’ve been featured in shows such as High School of the Dead and To Aru Majutsu no Index II, I am wondering if you’ve watched these series?
Yes, I have watched them.
Do you watch any other anime series?
Yes, I watch quite a lot of anime. I’ve watched anime shows since I was young.
Have you been to America before?
I have been to one of the territories in order to film the music video for “Memories Last,” but this is my first time on the mainland.
Do you have any future works currently in the making?
Yes, I am working on a new album which will contain all of the individual ending themes for the Hakuouki OVA series. There should be about five songs in all. In addition, I am also performing a song for the ninth OVA of Hellsing. Please look forward to the live that I will be having on July 3rd since I will be performing this song.
How did you get into the music business?
I’ve always thought about it since I have loved anime and games since I was little. There’s an event called Animelo Summer Live in Japan and I became inspired after seeing one of the singers who sung live.
Have you received offers or thought about doing seiyuu work for anime or games?
Unfortunately not, however, I did play a minor role as a zombie in the last episode of the Highschool of the Dead.
How does it feel to be in America and to do this event?
I am very happy and look forward to participating in Anime Expo. I am sure that I will treasure the memories that are to come.

Maon Kurosaki is so charming and so nice, it would be cool to see her start doing seiryuu work to expand her repertoire.
