Writer/director Akitaro Daichi reported on his twitter account on Wednesday that key animator Shojuro Yamauchi had passed away on Tusday. The two had previously collaborated on Prince Mackaroo (Ojarumaru.)
Yamauchi has also worked as a key animator on dozen of other famous anime including Con, the Boy Future, Dagger of Kamui, Lupin III: The Legend of the Gold of Babylon, Lupin III: the Secret of Mamo, Grave of the Fireflies and Spirited Away. RIP.
