Like in any other movie or show, there are several anime songs that I enjoy and may even feel the urge to play. Video streaming sites such as NicoNico Douga and Youtube feature hundreds of videos showing fans covering various songs from anime openings to soundtrack music. While some of these talented musicians are able play without sheet music, I have little to no ability to play songs by ear and I’m simply too lazy to write down all those notes. For individuals like me, Inside AX has gathered a short list of resources where you can find sheet music and guitar tabs for your favorite anime titles.
http://www.animechords.com/ - A great anime site with tabs for guitars
http://www.animescores.com/ – A site mostly for piano sheet music, there’s also a forum where you may request staff to transcribe a song if you can’t find it
http://www.ichigos.com/ A site with lots of sheet music and also tips on how to transcribe songs yourself
http://josh.agarrado.net/music/anime/ One of the most popular sites for anime sheet music (mainly piano)
http://www.sodasheetmusic.com/ – SODA is the google of anime sheet/tabs, it will search the internet for you
And for those of you willing to spend a bit of money for accuracy, there are a few official sheets floating around. K-On’s Official Band Yarō yo!! Album (Let’s-Create-a-Band!! Album) contains a 164-page band score book and even instrumental tracks that remove vocals and the guitar. Angel Beats! also has an official 214-page score book that came bundled with a special edition of Keep the Beats!
