Soul_Eater_manga_volume_1Samurai 7 is quickly coming to an end on Adult Swim, and with its finale will come the premiere of Soul Eater on the late night/early morning cartoon block.

Starting Sunday, February 17, at 1:30am EST/PST, Soul Eater will be taking over the Adult Swim airwaves. Well, for a half hour a week, anyways. And with 51 episodes to its name, Soul Eater should be around for about a year at the very least.

Set at Death Weapon Mesiter Academy in Death City, Nevada, Soul Eater follows three teams of students as they try to collect 99 evils souls and one witch soul in order turn their weapons from ordinary human weapons into death scythes.  The series is based on the manga of the same name published by Square Enix and is from manga author Atsushi Okubo.

Will you be tuning in to the adventures of the Weapon Meisters?
