There comes a time in every man’s life that he must squee like a little girl. This, my friends, is that time. Shonen Jump mainstays Dragon Ball Z, One Piece, and Toriko will be crossing over in anime form this April.
The hour-long crossover event will air in Japan on Sunday, April 7 at 9:00am as part of Fuji TV’s “Dream 9″ programming block. The crossover, entitled Dream 9 Toriko & One Piece & Dragon Ball Z Chō Collaboration Special!!, marks the third anniversary of the Toriko anime on Fuji TV.
The Collaboration Special!! will air in two parts — “Hashire Saikyō Gundan! Toriko to Luffy to Goku!” (Run, Strongest Army! Toriko, Luffy, Goku!) and ”Shijō Saikyō Collaboration vs. Umi no Taishokukan” (History’s Strongest Collaboration vs. Glutton of the Sea). In the special, Toriko, Goku, and Luffy will compete in the ”Tenkaichi Shokuōkai,” a race with no rules. Characters featured in the special will include Toriko, Sunny, Zebra, Coco, Luffy, Nami, Chopper, Zoro, Goku, Gohan, Trunks, Vegeta, and many more.
Hopefully, this and the two previous crossovers between Toriko and One Piece will one day make it across the Pacific.
