The full-color Dragon Ball Z manga goes on sale in Japan on February 4, and VIZ is bringing the newly vibrant Dragon Ball Z release to North America via their digital manga magazine Weekly Shonen Jump.
The recently relaunched digital magazine previously known as Shonen Jump Alpha went day-and-date release with its Japanese print counterpart on January 21. Continuing this trend, Dragon Ball Z‘s full color re-release will be making its way to the digital pages of Weekly Shonen Jump on the same date its released in print in Japan — February 4.
Since in Japan the story of Dragon Ball Z is a continuation of Dragon Ball (minus the Z), the color manga actually starts at Chapter 195 of Dragon Ball, which is the beginning of Dragon Ball Z in the States and the start of the ever-important “Saiyan Saga” that introduced the loveable hothead Vegeta and his other would-be conqueror pals.
