MARIA WATCHES OVER US (Maria-sama ga Miteru) 4th Season © OYUKI KONNO / SHUEISHA • YAMAYURIKAI III Licensed by d-rights Inc. The fourth season of Maria Watches Over Us (aka MariMite by fans) and the complete series of Shingu: Secret of the Stellar Wars are being repackaged into single DVD keepcases by Nozomi Entertainment for a March 2013 release.

Maria Watches Over Us Season 4 will include all 13 episodes of the season, as well as its 11 specials. The set will have Japanese audio with two English subtitle choices — with honorifics, or without. So those who prefer a little Japanese authenticity, and those who prefer a more straight forward translation, can both be happy.

Based on the long-running novel series of the same name, Maria Watches Over Us tales the story of Yumi, a student at Lillian’s School for Girls. At the school, girls in higher grades take on first year students as soeurs to watch over and guide them. In the fourth season, two new students start to help in the school’s Yamayuri Council, Kanako and Toko. Neither seem to get along with each other, but both are candidates to become Yumi’s soeur. As pressures mount from the school and the Yamayuri Council, Yumi must make her choice.

Shingu: Secret of the Stellar Wars is an original series from 2012 Anime Expo Guest of Honor Tatsuo Sato, whom has also helmed Bodacious Space PiratesNadesico, and LaGrange.

The complete 26-episode series will come with both English and Japanese audio, as well as English subtitles and on-screen translations. Extra features include character bios, line art galleries, original production notes, a textless opening, and trailers.

In Shingu, middle school student Hajime Murata witnesses as an alien invasion over Tokyo is repelled by a mysterious giant, white guardian. Later, he notices transfer student Subaru Muryou using psychic powers in a schoolyard fight. The more secrets Murata learns about the small town he lives in, the stranger his life gets. What will Murata’s role be in the future of the world?

Both titles will be available on DVD on March 5, 2013.
