Set for its premiere on February 17, 2012, Disney recently begun streaming the official U.S. English-dubbed trailer for Studio Ghibli’s Arrietty. Titled The Secret World of Arrietty in the West, the film was originally released in Japan in July 2010 with supervision by longtime Ghibli co-founder Hayo Miyazaki. It became the top grossing Japanese domestic film for the year when it was released, grossing over 9.25 billion yen.
Based upon Mary Norton’s 1952 the Borrowers, the story is moved to a Tokyo suburb where Arrietty, a member of the “little people” who live under the floorboards befriends a regular human. The U.S. dub will feature the voice talents of Bridget Mendler, Amy Poehler, Will Arnett, David Henrie and Carol Burnett.
